‘Situating William Gedney’ was a workshop that combined a bit of theory with practice. Students first explored a timeline of Indian photography, post independence and were then walked through the Gedney show introducing them to one of America’s most significant street photographers who has done some amazing work in India as well.

After receiving these inputs the participants were given the chance to explore different parts of the museum and capture their own photographs which they were then required to present.
