JEHANGIR NICHOLSON ART FOUNDATION
A special film screening was held at Regal Cinema Colaba, one of the first public articulations of Art Deco in India that opened its doors in 1933. A Bombay Talkies production, Kangan (1939, d. Franz Osten) – this full-length feature film was shown! The screening was followed by a book release of the publication Bombay Talkies: An Unseen History of Indian Cinema (published by The Alkazi Collection of Photography in association with Mapin Publishing).
